In 2004, I helped one of my besties with her Plan-It-Yourself dream wedding vision (pre-Pinterest and Facebook btw) and as we were finishing decorating, another bride that was touring the hall asked for my card....I was so flattered as it was just a fun & exciting hobby, and that was my first thought of "hmmm....maybe I can do this wedding planner stuff!"
Well, I ended up doing events, big ones....in stadiums for about 12 years.
I was an ambitious Assistant General Manager and have been intertwined with events from Bridal Showers to Weddings (yes, married at home plate) to Wine Festivals and everything in-between at Regency Furniture Stadium, FedEx Field, RFK Stadium & the DC Armory...did I mention I've worked multiple concerts too? Talk about logistics!
You can say my multi-faceted career equipped me with top-notch event skills such as expertise in team leadership, executing timelines, multi-tasking everywhere, problem solver & preventer, whatever could go wrong...well it's my job to protect you from the stress...true story, I am a certified Crisis Management Expert....really it's on my resume.
I was once told that I thrive in chaos. Who thrives in chaos? I guess I do!
